New record signing Ki Sung-Young is set to make his Swans debut at the Liberty Stadium tonight after receiving international clearance late this afternoon.

The south Korean midfielder, who signed a three-year contract from Celttic last week for an undisclosed fee, will now come into consideration for tonight's Capital One Cup tie against Barnsley.

The 23 year-old, who becomes the most expensive footballer in South Korean history, trained with the squad for the first time on Monday.

"I remember playing here for Celtic and the Swansea fans made a lot of noise." said Ki.

"This is a lovely stadium and I can't wait to get out there and be a part of the team."

Ki, who received a great reception from the Jack Army before last Saturday's Barclays Premier League victory over West Ham, started his career at  FC Seoul after spending four years in Australia, and was named the Asian Young Footballer of the Year in 2009.

He caught the attention of a number of top clubs in Europe, and eventually joined Celtic in January 2010.

Named the Korean FA's footballer of the year in 2011, he starred in his nation's third-place finish in the London Olympics, where he played against new team-mates Neil Taylor and Scott Sinclair.

지난 토요일 프리미어리그에서 웨스트햄에게 승리하기 전 잭 아미로부터 굉장한 환영을 받은 기는

호주에서 4년을 보낸 후 FC서울에서 그의 커리어를 시작했고, 2009년에는 아시아 영 풋볼러에 지명되었다.

그는 유럽의 다수의 탑 클럽의 관심을 끌었고 마침내 2010년 1월 셀틱에 합류하였다.

2011년 한국 FA 올해의 선수에 지명된 그는 그의 새로운 팀메이트인 닐 테일러와 스콧 싱클레어를 상대로경기를 한 런던 올림픽의 8강전에서 스타가 되었다.
