Guinea displayed plenty of energy in the opening stages and enjoyed the better sights of goal, though there was little difference in the possession stakes. Korea Republic defender Park Myeongsu tried to break the deadlock, only for his powerful shot to narrowly miss the target.

Korea were denied just past the hour mark only by a brilliant double block from Moussa Camara who firstly denied Lee Seungwoo, and then Park Myeongsoo on the follow up.
