Lol i was about to say who the hell does he think he is to taunt Maradona. But after seeing Maradona's reaction during the draw, i'm happy he shoved that paper down his throat. That disrespect.
I had some friends who wanted to come to the match, but they booked the wrong ticket. I was making fun of them for not being able to even buy the right ticket.
But most people commented on the article that they think Paik made that story up to keep the insult indirect. Idk what the truth it but either way, pretty hilarious.
To be honest it sounds like he's just trying to diffuse the whole thing. He probably did mean Maradona but he's worried about all the 'Netizens' in Korea calling for him to be removed from the team for being disrespectful or some shit. It's Korea.
Yeah, I agree. He definitely saw the Maradona ticket thing as all his team did - that's something all these teams do. They probably talked about it a lot... as it was freaking Maradona laughing at their team. And he is very young and could like this kind of humor. Then after the game the team management probably told him to say it was about something else. The Maradona theory makes much more sense to me.
