This whole situation isn't normal, it's already unprecedented for warning shots to be fired at Russian planes, they normally just skirt the borders of airspace, along with reports of China joining in is just a situation I haven't heard of before

Because contrary to popular belief the President doesn't hold all the power. Congress can bypass him in this scenario and I don't doubt they would. Much like they can in most other areas but it's better for them if the people forget they are to blame for most problems.

The UK has a special relationship with the US and is supposed to be one of the US's strongest allies...France is suppose to be one of the US's strongest allies...Israel...Canada...Taiwan...I've even heard the US say Australia is.
That's the problem, as with every country, X-country is only the strongest ally at the time, until something happens, and with Trump at the helm, well...Things seem to be NK, Russia and other tin pot dictators seem to be the US's "strongest" allies.

Were they trying to test the response time of Korea’s air defense system and its radar capability or just showing off muscles? Personally I don’t see the latter is the case here.

I was actually in a plane going from Tokyo to Dallas as this was happening, the Airspace of the entire northern pacific, an area about half the size of the US, was shut down and the flight got diverted. We had to go so far off path we couldn’t make it to Dallas without stopping at LAX to refuel first.
나 실제로 이 시각에 도쿄에서 달라스로 가는 비행기 타고 있었는데 미국 크기의 절반정도 되는 북태평양이 통제되어서 비행기가 항로를 갑자기 변경했어. 원래 경로보다 너무 삥 돌아가느라 LA공항에 착륙해서 주유할 수 밖에 없었어.
