잠수함의 발사관 해치 (빨간색 부위) 를 열어도 실링에 막혀서 주황색 덮개 위까지만 바닷물이 들어옴.
해치를 열면 무조건 발사하거나, 발사 취소 후에 발사관과 마사일을 오버홀해야 한다는 부담을 없애주죠.
한국은 지상 배치 이동식 발사대의 미사일조차 아르곤등으로 채운 캐니스터 (사각형 파이프 박스) 안에 미사일을 밀봉하고 있음. ( 발사 순간에 밀봉이 풀림 )
캐니스터 부피 때문에 이동식 발사대에 미사일 1 개밖에 탑재하지 못 하는 핸디캡도 감수하고 있죠.
이렇게 하면 10 년동안 연료, 화약등을 교체하지 않고 손 안 대도 되며, 신규 무기 예산은 잘 나와도 유지보수 인력/예산은 빡빡하다는 점도 고려했을 것임.
한국군의 병력 감소 때문에 유지보수 최소화 경향은 앞으로도 더 심화될겁니다.
말보르님이 인용하신 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phhNtxhSKOg 이 동영상 19 초 부분부터 볼 수 있듯이 잠수함 발사 미사일은 종류 관계없이 거의 덮개가 필수적입니다. 특히 고성능 시커/센서/레이더가 달린 것일수록 더욱 더 그렇고요.
위 순항미사일의 경우 어뢰관에서 발사하기 때문인지, 앞부분 덮개는 물론이고 공기흡입구를 막기 위해 미사일 몸통까지 전체를 주황색의 콘돔 같은 뭔가로 덮고 있습니다. 물 위로 올라오자 마자 부스터가 점화되고 배기가스에 의해 스스로 콘돔을 벗겨내죠.
물론 앞부분 덮개를 생략할 수도 있겠죠. 사출 순간의 충격/압력/바닷물 유입을 탄두/동체가 견딜 수 있다면 굳이 필요하지 않을 것이고, 해치 열면 반드시 쏘게 될 핵미사일이거나, 해치 열었다 발사 취소시 바닷물 유입된 것을 뽑아내는 펌프가 VLS 에 있고 바닷물 유입후 정비하는 것에 대해 부담이 없다면 앞부분 덮개를 쓸 필요없을겁니다.
