The iPhone X has only been out for six months but some users are already looking forward to the next Apple release.
The X came out in November, a few months after Apple's usual September release and the announcement of the iPhone 8. The year prior, the iPhone 7 was released and two years before that the iPhone 6 was released, all in the usual month of September.
If Apple decides to keep with the September launch there will likely be a new phone, or phones, coming out this year as well. In fact, there might be as many as three new iPhone models revealed in September, Business Insider reported. Apple, however, hasn't confirmed any release date.
Those phones would likely incorporate some of the features that were added to the latest iPhone X. Those features include the edge-to-edge screen and the eliminated home button that all of the other iPhone models have always featured.
Some of the new phones including a possible 6.5-inch display and a 5.8-inch display would likely use the new OLED screen technology that the X uses, it's thinner and more efficient than the previous LCD screens that are used for the other iPhones. But one of the new phones, likely a 6.1-inch display, might have an LCD screen, Business Insider reported.
Besides the larger updated screens and lack of a home button other rumors about the new release include possible faster charging and more color options for the devices.
